KAAGNY President Charles Yoon and Congressman Tom Suozzi take questions from the audience and discuss the most pressing issues for the Korean American community.

On July 30, a coalition of Korean American organizations opened a Town Hall with local and federal elected officials to voice issues that are important to the broader community. The panel was composed of Congressman Tom Suozzi, State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, State Senator John Liu, Assemblyman Ron Kim, Assemblyman Ed Braunstein, and Assemblywoman Nily Rozic.

Prior to the Town Hall, organizers put together questions for the panelists. Important issues included immigration reform and pathways to citizenship for DACA recipients, North and South Korean relations, and how the government is responding to anti-Asian hate crimes at the local and federal levels.
